1. Business Process Management: Learn How to Manage Business Processes
Business process management helps organizations leverage processes to achieve their goals and be successful. Once processes are implemented, they must be monitored, evaluated, and optimized. This course will introduce you to business process management, which can help your organization successfully perform these activities.
To begin this course, you will learn about business process management and three related skill areas: business analysis, enterprise content management, and business process re-engineering. Then, you will work through the five stages of the business process life cycle: vision, design, modeling, execution, monitoring, and optimization. Tools such as automation, business rules, workflow engines, what-if analysis, process mining, business activity monitoring, the balanced scorecard, Lean, and Six Sigma are also covered.
2. Global Business Strategies: Create Success In The Global Market
Consider the different aspects of how business is conducted around the world. Various currencies, cultural customs, trade laws, border rules, import/export regulations, and more all come into play in each country (and sometimes within the states or provinces within it). To complicate matters further, these elements are constantly evolving. Add in the rapid pace of change of technology, legal questions surrounding the Internet and e-commerce, and growing security concerns, and you’ve got an extremely complex global marketplace.
This course provides an overview of the various factors that a business must consider before going global. Students will also begin considering how they can expand their business to the global marketplace using a variety of planning techniques. 3. Business Succession Planning: Developing and Maintaining a Succession Plan: Develop A Succession Plan
Change is a hallmark of today’s business world, especially in terms of the workforce. Succession planning can help you make the most of that change by ensuring that when someone leaves, there is someone ready to take their place.
This course will teach you how to develop and maintain a succession plan with the SUCCESS model, which includes developing a system, identifying resources, creating risk assessments, developing action plans, implementing those plans, and evaluating the results.
4. Business Leadership: Becoming Management Material: Learn the Basics of Business Leadership
At its core, leadership means setting goals, lighting a path, and persuading others to follow. This course will show you how leaders can get their message out in a way that inspires, make the most of their limited time, and build roads to precious resources.
The first part of this Business Leadership: Becoming Management Material Course will teach you about Peter Senge’s five learning disciplines: personal mastery, mental models, shared vision, team learning, and systems thinking. You will also learn about Paul Hersey and Ken Blanchard’s Situational Leadership II® model, servant leadership, and the five practices in James Kouzes and Barry Posner's “The Leadership Challenge.” In addition to these leadership models, basic skills (such as building trust, managing change, personal productivity, resolving conflict, solving problems, and leading meetings) will also be covered.
